What child doesn't love animals! This fun 51" x 41" baby quilt features adorable baby animal appliques which can be done in Woolfelt or cotton and also by hand or machine. We echoed the birch-tree striped fabric in the borders to make the bulls-eye blocks for an exciting effect, but any fabric print will work. A generic teal and green color palette lends a refreshing look to this quilt, but it could also be done in girly pastels such as soft buttery yellows and greens or lavender to add a more feminine look. Or you could go bold and use bright primary colors! If you like hand-embroidery, these critter designs also lend themselves beautifully to some easy hand-stitching; simply transfer the designs to a solid background and use a stem-stitch to sew along the traced animal outlines (see our cute teal and yellow elephant pillow!) You can also use the applique designs to make an accent pillow for the nursery, or even as an applique for a child's t-shirt or jacket!  Lots of design options available for this fun pattern.
