Folk-art Flowers in a Pitcher
This 12" x 18" wall hanging is made up of Woolfelt or felted wool with homespun binding and lower "tablecloth". It features some fun techniques for adding dimension such as pleating, ruching, and gathering. Simple stitchery with perle cotton or embroidery floss add a nice accent as do the buttons. The pincushion finishes 5" wide and can be used alone or mounted on a wooden base. The flower brooch is similar to the pincushion but uses double petals with a button accent and a pin-back for wearing with your favorite ensemble, hat, purse etc. Some great embellishing techniques are included that can be use with other projects too!
